Semi-Restore website also highlights the following important points about the tool:
  • There may be a better way to fix your current problem. For example, to fix “Safe Mode” issues, you can just uninstall Mobile Substrate from Cydia.
  • Like any other restore, make sure you backup your data if you want it later.
  • Avoid using your iOS device or anything related to iTunes or XCode. Why not actually go outside?
  • This process can not and does not repair broken system files! Avoid all Siri Ports, as they are not only illegal (except for Spire on 5.0.1) but they also create problems and may potentially break system files (even Spire can cause this).
  • Your device will respring several times during the semi-restore. This is perfectly normal, so don’t panic.

iH8sn0w has released a new version of Sn0wbreeze (v2.9.14) to add support for iOS 6.1.3.
Sn0wbreeze v2.9.14 will allow Windows users to jailbreak (tethered) their iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS and iPod touch iOS 6.1.3. 
Here’s what’s new in Snowbreeze 2.9.14:
  • Added tethered support for A4 devices on iOS 6.1.3 (3GS old bootroms are untethered as usual).
  • After Cydia’s mishap with aptickets from 6.0 –> 6.1.2 (causing soft-dfu loops), sn0wbreeze now includes an apticket validation. It will verify the apticket after browsing for iOS5+ blobs in iFaith mode.
Sn0wbreeze allows users to create custom “jailbroken” firmware file, which can then be used to upgrade their iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch to iOS 6.1.2. In case of iPhone, Sn0wbreeze also preserves the baseband from getting upgraded so that it can be unlocked using Ultrasn0w.
Like Redns0w, Sn0wbreeze also supports a tethered jailbreak for iOS 6.1.3. Sn0wbreeze doesn’t support A5, A5x, A6 and A6X powered devices like the iPhone 5 , iPhone 4S, iPad 4, iPad 3, iPad 2, iPad mini and iPod touch 5g.

How To Save SHSH Blobs Using TinyUmbrella

You can follow these simple steps to save SHSH blobs of your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch.
  • Download the latest version of TinyUmbrella from
  • Connect your iOS device to the computer
  • Install and then launch the latest version of TinyUmbrella
  • Select your iOS device from the “Connected Devices” list in the left hand panel.
  • If you have not jailborken your iOS device yet, then click on the Advanced tab and deselect “Request SHSH from Cydia” option. If you have jailbroken your iOS device and launched Cydia, then you can skip this step.
  • Then click on the “Save SHSH” button.
After the SHSH blobs are successfully saved, you should see your iOS device listed along with the iOS version that it is running on currently under the General section, which says Saved SHSHs.
